I’m thankful for… this Team

We kicked off another round of our empathy parenting ecourse Parenting on the Same Team yesterday. One of my reactions when the ecourse starts is an up-welling of empathy  for the parents and families with whom we are working. We’re all so eager to learn more, and to have community while we learn, about how to work constructively with our home teams. I just love these heart-inspired mamas and papas. The other thing that always happens is that I get all glitter-eyed for my own amazing family and the wonderful ways we work together for all our mutual happiness. No offense to any of you, but I have the best family of all time…

So today’s post is just a reveling in the love and gratitude I have for this little team, and a look at us through the ages.

Here we are with a few month-old Echo, celebrating Xi’s 4th birthday at one of our favorite Summer spots — the Turtle fountains.

This one is the following Summer, visiting with my folks in southern Alabama.

The next year at a favorite diner in Missoula…

Here’s one of, if not the very first annual family portrait by Natalie. Snake and Hamster included…

Here’s the 2011 portrait. You’ll notice the addition of some chickens and a Quaker Parrot (Harley). And there’s a guinea pig (Ken) in place of the hamster…

This is one of a series of fun family shots we took this past Autumn with the camera my parents passed on to us, with which we can only make slightly out-of-focus shots… It’s just indicative of the soft, warm fuzzy of our life together, right?!And the most recent Yule portrait. Harley was just on an extended visit the previous year, so he’s not in this one, and two of the (escape artist) chickens went to live with our friends who have a covered chicken yard; Luella and Pansy stayed with us.

Last but not least, of course, a shot from our recent Spring Break adventures, not a portrait, per se, but a happy team nonetheless.

Hope you and your team are having a delicious time, too!

Be well.

    Hear, hear for the team!

(I also can’t believe y’all are already eating ice-cream outside, with exposed arms! It’s still down-jackets, gloves-and-hat-on-the-bike weather here..)

    • Hey Kay!

Yeah we were rocking the full-on balmy-wear for a week or so there, and had our inaugural ice cream trip for the season, even planted some beans and flower seeds. But this week I’m back to four layers and a down vest with ear muffs. So don’t feel too bad!

      Be well.
