The week began much as we are accustomed to weeks beginning…
Then we we’re treated to an adventure most of us had never experienced, picking our own organic blueberries at a farm co-op nearby.
The girls couldn’t stand the heat for long, but we got over 4lbs of berries.
Natalie took the girls to the hen house for a distraction while Grandpa and I tried to eek out a few more berries.
Echo entertained herself a bit with this antique stroller while we packed up the vehicles to head to the beach.
As soon as we made it to the beach house, the girls got ready…
Natalie and Nana hanging on the beach…
with you know who.
And of course we had to build a sand castle or two – otherwise it wouldn’t count as a real beach trip.
And though the week has passed a bit too quickly, we have made good use of every minute, and enjoyed ourselves to the point of near exhaustion (and sometimes over).
Tomorrow we head back to Nana and Grandpa’s house for a couple more days and then back to our home in the mountains. We have all agreed that we don’t really want to leave, and part of me hopes that with the recent tragedy occurring in the Gulf that we will still be able to enjoy it in the future.
