Satisfaction

Here’s three happy girls (even though the one is wearing a serious face). They’re having a little down time, watching Black Stallion in the middle of the day on the sofa bed under light sheets with slightly sunburned cheeks, and water-logged bodies. They have been rising early each day, dividing their time between pools and beach, and enjoying endless games and role-plays. They have been battling and riding waves, building sand cities, dumping seaweed out of the swimsuits they’re wearing, and collecting shells. They have been eating their body weight in blueberries.

In a word, these girls are satisfied. Bella encapsulated it best for the three of them today when she said, “I love this life!” And you can see and feel it emanating from their thrilled, delighted, enthralled little souls.

And other than putting them in this setting —

which is of course magnificent — we haven’t had to do anything to achieve such a state for them. All we’ve had to do is allow them to follow their bliss. And I for one find that very satisfying.
